Charging Pile Export: The 6 Questions Clients Ask Most Often

Question 1: "Will your chargers work in my country?"

This is usually the first question. And the answer is not just "yes" – it depends on three things:

Voltage and frequency – Most countries use either 220-240V (Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia, most of Asia) or 110-120V (North America, Japan). Our chargers are designed with wide input voltage ranges (90–240VAC, 50/60Hz) and work in both.

Plug types – We ship with the connector standard for your market:

Type 1 (SAE J1772) – North America, Japan, South Korea

Type 2 (IEC 62196) – Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia, many other markets

GB/T – China

CCS1 or CCS2 – DC fast charging, depending on region

Local grid conditions – Voltage fluctuations, grounding requirements, and grid stability vary. We work with clients to understand local conditions before shipping.

Our approach: Before we quote, we ask about your market. We check voltage, plug standards, and any local quirks. Then we match the right product. No guesswork.

Question 2: "How long does certification take? How much does it cost?"

Certification is the single biggest source of delays for first-time importers. Here is the reality:

Typical timelines (from start to certificate in hand):

CE (Europe) – 2 to 4 months

CB (international) – 3 to 5 months

SIRIM (Malaysia) – 4 to 6 months

SNI (Indonesia) – 6 to 8 months

TISI (Thailand) – 4 to 6 months

UL (North America) – 6 to 8 months

Typical costs: Certification costs vary widely depending on the mark and the testing lab. CE and CB are generally more affordable. SNI, UL, and other country-specific marks require local testing and are more expensive.

What we can do: We hold CCC, CB, TUV, KC, and SAA certifications for our power electronics. For other marks, we work with clients in two ways:

We handle the certification – you pay the costs, we manage the process

You handle certification locally – we provide technical files and samples

Our advice: Start certification conversations before you place your first order. The paperwork takes longer than you think.

Note: Certification costs and timelines change. Contact us for current estimates for your target market.

Question 3: "How do you handle after-sales support?"

This question separates real suppliers from traders.

Our answer has three layers:

Remote monitoring – Every charger connects to our cloud platform. We can see status, run diagnostics, and often identify issues before the client notices. For common problems, we can fix them remotely.

Spare parts inventory – We keep critical spare parts (control boards, power modules, cables) in stock. For clients with regular orders, we can arrange a local parts inventory.

Local partners – In markets where we have active business, we are building local service relationships. This is a work in progress. Currently, we have coverage in Malaysia and are expanding to Thailand and Indonesia.

What we do not do: We do not sell and disappear. Our warranty is 2 years standard. Within that period, we replace defective units or parts. After warranty, we provide paid support.

Our advice: Ask potential suppliers for their after-sales policy in writing. If they hesitate, that is an answer.

Question 4: "What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?"

This depends on the product and whether you are a first-time or repeat buyer.

Typical MOQs:

AC home chargers (7kW-22kW): 50 to 100 units

DC fast chargers (60kW-180kW): 10 to 30 units

Ultra-fast chargers (240kW+): 5 to 10 units

For first-time buyers: We understand the hesitation. You want to test quality before committing. We can work with smaller trial orders – sometimes as low as 5-10 units for AC chargers, 2-5 units for DC. The unit price will be higher, but the risk is lower.

For repeat buyers: MOQs are flexible based on your order history.

Our advice: Start with a trial order that matches your actual demand. Do not over-order just to hit a MOQ. If a supplier pushes you to buy more than you need, be careful.

Question 5: "What is your lead time?"

Lead times vary by product and order size. Here are current estimates (April 2026):

Standard lead times (from deposit to shipment):

AC home chargers (7kW-22kW): 15 to 25 days

DC fast chargers (60kW-180kW): 25 to 40 days

Ultra-fast chargers (240kW+): 30 to 45 days

Factors that extend lead time:

Custom labeling or packaging

Non-standard voltage or plug types

Large orders (100+ units for DC chargers)

Peak season (September to November before Chinese New Year)

Our approach: We quote realistic lead times and update you weekly on progress. If we are running behind, we tell you early.

Our advice: Build buffer into your project timeline. Delays happen – in manufacturing, in shipping, in customs. Plan for them.

Question 6: "How are you different from other Chinese brands?"

This is the question we want you to ask. Because not all suppliers are the same.

The short answer: We are not the cheapest. We are not the biggest. But we are reliable.

The longer answer, in three points:

1. We make more than chargers. We also make energy storage systems and inverters. This matters because charging piles do not exist in isolation. When you need an integrated solution – solar + storage + charging – we have all three. Most charger-only suppliers do not.

2. We have been doing this for 15 years. We started before the EV boom. We have seen suppliers come and go. We are still here. That stability matters when you need support years after your first order.

3. We are certification serious. CCC, CB, TUV, KC, SAA – these are not just logos on our website. We paid for the testing. We maintain the documentation. When you need technical files for your local certification, we can provide them.

What we are not: We are not a trading company. We do not slap our label on someone else's product. We design, we manufacture, we test. Our facility is in Wenzhou. You are welcome to visit.

Our advice: When comparing suppliers, ask for their factory address. Ask for certification numbers you can verify. Ask for a sample before you order. A serious supplier will say yes to all three.
